After the girls finished working on the
WebQuest we talked a bit about the mathematics that they had to use
in order to complete the project successfully. The girls said that they
felt like they actually had to use math in a real-life situation. They
also said that they had lots of fun and wished they could do something
like this in their current math class.
After I implemented my WebQuest, I decided
that a reflective essay from each individual team member would be a
great asset to determine if learning had indeed occurred. This essay
would complement the discussion that the girls and I had. The WebQuest
now includes an Individual Reflection portion.
