WOW! Your project is looking very crisp and clean and well-
representative, I'm sure, of the standards set by UPS. I really
like what you have done with all of your graphics, especially
the manipulation to make them fit the scene. The content is
well laid out and it's easy to see what you must complete before
continuing on. Linear projects are tough repeats, so I'm assuming
this is a one-time training session for employees.
I did notice that some of the drag and drops for "acceptable"
aren't working properly. Also, how does someone know where they
are within the training? Perhaps you could add some type of
timeline that would say 50% complete, or something to that effect.
This training seems really long, can someone get through it
in 30 minutes?
Upon completing and even viewing your project, I believe I'm
certified to accept packages. I'm sure this will be referred
to many times during the busy holiday season!
Great job!

I couldn't get prototype 2 to unzip so I played with prototype
1. Wow!!
Strengths:
- The content was well chunked... a good amount to process
on each slide.
- Navigation was flawless!
- The embedded quiz questions and the final quiz were both
great!
Weaknesses:
- The only problem area I found was that about halfway through
I found myself wondering if the end was near. This may just
be because my brain is almost completely fried at this point
in the semester!
You have an awesome project and I have the satisfaction of
knowing that should all else fair I have the knowledge/skills
to inspect packages for UPS! : )

Your project is very professional looking and well done. It's
been quite difficult trying to think of weaknesses, and trying
to cut down my list of strengths, but here goes.
Strengths:
- My favorite sections of your project were the Flash interactions.
They were extremely well done (although I did have a few suggestions
- see below), and I think they help learners maintain interest
in the course.
- The self-assessment questions give immediate feedback to
the learners, which should help a great deal in making the
information stick in their minds. For that reason, it's also
helpful that learners cannot move forward in the course without
answering the self-assessment questions.
- The post test is also a strength, as it determines what
level of knowledge the learners leave with. Additionally,
the reward of a certificate in recognition of passing the
course will help in motivating the learners.
- Your pictures were very effective. They illustrated the
conceptes in a way that mere photographs could not.
Weaknesses:
- Two concerns about the Flash interactions:
- When the user successfully completes an interaction,
they get the Good Job message. Sometimes, depending on
where the last event was fired from, that message is cut
off or hidden off screen.
- On some of the interactions, when a user is incorrect,
they are told so. However, on the drag and drops, if a
user is incorrect, the label they're dragging snaps back
without a message. Some better system of feedback would
probably be helpful here.
- There is no pretest, so the post test does not really tell
you what learning has occurred.
- The course is probably too long. It seems like it could
easily divide into two smaller courses.
This was probably the best project I've seen in EDIT Studio.
Keep up the good work!

Your project on CC package acceptance was really great! I liked
the drag and drops. The color scheme was great also. I like
that the trainee could not advance until passing the quizzes.
Immediate feedback was given which is really great! The learner
knows exactly how he or
she is doing. The only thing that I could find to critique would
be that the text for the quizzes was kind of small. You might
want to make the feedback a little more noticeable by having
it pop up. I really enjoyed seeing your project! You've done
an awesome job!

I am very impressed by the tutorial you created. Lots of slides,
information, programming and work! It looks great!
I like your color scheme and the way you presented the information.
The pictures are very helpful in order to review the information.
I think that you did a very good job in the way the navigation
is placed on the screen. It is very easy and straightforward
to use. I don't think that any of the users should have problems
in going through this tutorial.
The only thing where you might want consider a change concerns
the instructions on the slides with the question sections. You
cannot press the next button after reviewing the information,
you first need to answer the question. Changing the instructions
and especially the audio instructions that might help to reduce
confusion on that.

Training: Basic Facial
This tutorial is amazing. I feel so relaxed just watching it.
When can I schedule a facial?!?
Strengths:
- The intro is very cool. Relaxing music playing in the background
might add a nice touch.
- The color scheme and graphics are excellent. Very soothing.
The snail is cute and fits in with the slogan nicely.
- The videos are great. Is that your client in them? She really
seems to know her stuff and it looks like the camera loves
her.
- I like that there is a link to review the video again in
the assessment. It might be nice to have this link available
somewhere else, too.
- The assessment feedback is great. It may also be helpful
for the incorrect answer feedback to tell you where to go
back and review.
- The drag and drop is awesome!
Weaknesses:
- Did you know that the flower graphic along the top is not
the same length as the green bar above the navigation? I'm
not sure if this just occurs in my window.
- I think Program Details should be added to the navigation
bar at the top. I almost missed that it was a link to more
information.
- I had to download an update from Quicktime in order for
the video to work on the page. I think it might be helpful
for some instructions about what kind of system or program/setting
is required to see the videos.
- The video for analysis, exfoliation, toner ended abruptly
without finishing. But when I opened just the video from the
CD, it worked fine.
- For the question about steamer distance, it may look less
obvious to have the numbers go in order (A: 4, B: 7, C: 12).
- After the last assessment question, where is the user suppose
to go? Is that the end of the demo? A last thought by the
client might add a nice, personal touch.

Eat
Our Food.Com
I love this site! What a great idea to make a recipe site.
I can't believe that this was all hand-coded, wow!
Strengths:
- Great color scheme and the logo is excellent! It makes me
hungry just looking at it.
- All of the links worked and took me where I needed to go.
Registration worked fine and reviewing recipes, too.
- The validation for the submitting a recipe is a nice touch.
I hate recipes that don't tell you about how long it should
take or how many people it will serve.
- The search is very helpful to getting to a recipe fast.
Weaknesses:
- The basic search appears to only search recipe titles. I
think it would be more helpful to search through everything.
If the user gets too much information, than they can go to
the advanced search.
- I tried to enter 1 1/2 cups of an ingredient and it disappeared
when I saved the recipe.
- I could use a few more words in the drop down for the ingredient
units: small, medium, large, slice and package.
- Also, a printer-friendly version of the recipes would be
great for printing and saving.
- Maybe eventually, pictures could be added to each recipe.
I love when I can see what it's suppose to look like (unless,
of course, mine turns out nothing like it!).
GREAT JOB!

Wow Thomas, this looks great! I bet your client is going to
be ecstatic over this product.
Strengths:
- The first page calling for the computer/software specifications
is great. That is so helpful if the user can't get anything
to work at first.
- The flash intro is beautiful. It's so peaceful, yet motivating.
- The content is broken down into perfect bite size sections.
- The pictures are placed it wonderfully in respect to the
content around them.
- The FAQ's and Ask section, as well as the right for you
section are wonderful assets.
Weaknesses:
- The screen is a little small, as well as the writing. I
don't remember it being this small at Dress Rehearsal, so
maybe my computer loaded it smaller.
- Under "their experience" it might be smoother
navigating if there is a link to each persons story or work
accomplished.
- Also, I almost forgot to go back to "their experience"
to check out their work after I had viewed their stories.
Maybe a work icon next to the home button on the last page
of their stories would help.
- A sub-navigation bar along the bottom may be more navigational
friendly than just a forward arrow (or a back arrow may be
good, too).

Inquirer Bee-yond the Pages
Intro/Index page: The orange boxes do not
line up vertically and this makes the page look unprofessional.
Also, I think that there needs to be clearer that it is “state
or country” in both the paragraph text and the orange
boxes. It would also look cleaner if the heading for State (…)
and Country (…) were on one line in an 800 x 600 screen.
Scientific Process Module: Top frame really
could use a horizontal orange line on the bottom. The orange
boxes don’t line up and the pastel green looks out of
place. Bee at the top of the page with the white background
looks out of place. It would look more consistent if that bee
also had the blue background. Smart Bee is a little blurry.
Hard to tell it was a bee at first glance. Also, listen should
be read. The bee does not talk.
Feedback from self-assessment: I wonder how
many people will actually try again if they get the answer wrong.
I recommend putting the reinforcing feedback for both the correct
answer and incorrect answer. By putting this feedback with the
incorrect answer it also works as a hint. The questions in the
first self-assessment are leading towards the answer.
Critical Thinking Module: The title of the
html document still says Welcome to the Scientific Process Module.
The Goals are indented and were not in the Scientific Process
Module. The self-assessment feedback is black. It was orange
in the Scientific Process Module. Questions should not be both
true and false. # 4 feedback, typo: think (not thinking) critically.
Now the intro opens in the same page. In the Scientific Process
Module the intro opened in a new window. I also wonder how many
people will skip reading the intro page because you have to
leave the page it is on to go to another page.
Scientific Literacy: The title of the html
document still says Welcome to the Scientific Process Module.
The Goals are indented and were not in the Scientific Process
Module. The feedback is all bold and black. This is not consistent
with the other two modules.
Other Comments: bulb-ee? Web-ee? Ab-ee-out?
I get the point but it really it could be confusing to some
cute. The tone of the web site seems to be directed towards
elementary teachers/kids. As a former high school teacher, I'm
not comfortable with it. The self-assessment feedback boxes
keep opening up in different windows. It would be helpful to
put a close button at the bottom of the screen like all of the
other windows that open.
