Performance Analysis

The Package Acceptance Training at UPS module is designed for newly hired employees who will be working at the Customer Centers. These employees will have not formaly seen this content before. It can be assummed that ast most, learners may know up to 25% of the content included in this module from outside sources.

The goal of the module is to bring learners from knowing 25% of the knowledge to at least 80% of the knowledge. By performing the analysis, we can hope that training will address 60% of the 75% gap in knowledge.

Learner Characteristics

  • 95% of the learners will be new employees to UPS, 5% of the learners will have transfered form other UPS jobs
  • 80% of the learners will be female, 20% of the learners will be male
  • The age range of learners is 16 - 65
  • The average age is 35
  • The majority of learners will have an education level of high school level
  • Learners will be located throughout the United States
  • Learner attitude on average is fairly positive
Resource Analysis
  • Two Subject Matter Experts
  • Plenty of content to sift through
  • No facilitators
  • At least one computer at every Center
  • Not every Center has Internet access
  • Almost all computers will not have advanced software or plugins
